Chinese Crafts

This afternoon we were making 2 different Chinese crafts. The first was a Chinese lantern. We drew some Chinese symbols on them the used some glitter glue to make them sparkle. We then added ribbons to the bottom. Here is P2 working on their lanterns:

We also looked at different pictures of Chinese crockery and talked about pattern, design and colour. We used these ideas to design our own Chinese plates - don't they look good?

Amanda was obviously reading my mind as this morning she brought in her own Chinese plate and chopsticks to show the class - thanks Amanda!!
