Yesterday we visited the Glasgow Museums Resource Centre in Nitshill. This is where they store all the exhibits that are not currently on display in any of the Glasgow Museums. We were at a workshop called "Look at me" all about portraits and drawing.
We got to go into one of the 'pods' where they store all the paintings. We looked at lots of different portraits and discussed what was good or bad about each one and what we thought the artist was trying to say through his painting.
We went back to the classroom and each got a mirror to look at our faces. We then tried to draw our own portrait and used collage material to add colour and texture to our pictures.
