When Gran was a Girl

We had a fantastic trip today to the People's Palace. We met Granny Donald who taught us all what life was like when she was a wee girl - Baffies, Pinnie, Turban and all!

We learned so much about life at home and in Glasgow but it was a whole lot of fun while we did it!

Here's Granny Donald cleaning her carpet:

Honour and David were asked to help with the dusting - they both look great in their Pinnies!

Honour getting her Pinnie and Turban on just like Granny!

Everyone got a shot at carpet beating - here's Clair giving it a good "Wallop"!

Then Franek and Clair got washed in the old tin bath with some carbolic soap!

Next we went to the shops - here are some of our shop keepers:

Granny Donald wanted to see how good Cedars School were at singing. We sang "Oh ye canny shove yer Granny aff the bus" and "Ally Bally":

Hannah, Rebeka and April with their Pinnies on about to try some washing in The Steamie:

Hannah and Rebeka went "Doon the Watter" for their holidays:

All in all a fantastic trip.
